Welcome at the homepage of the Surface Physics Group in Marburg!

We do basic experimental research in the field of surface science. Our investigations focus on electronic excitations, vibrational excitations, diffusion processes and elementary chemical reactions at solid surfaces and interfaces. Our main methods are laser spectroscopy, time-resolved photoemission, scanning tunnelling microscopy, infrared spectroscopy and NMR at surfaces. (Introduction for students, in German)
